Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

The free plan includes 3 page analyses per day, every engine, and all 27 answer languages — no account or card needed. Pro is $9/month or $89/year and removes the daily limits, subject to a generous fair-use policy.

Does the extension read every page automatically?

No. It analyzes a page only after an explicit user action.

Does page content leave my browser?

Only when you ask for an analysis. Relevant page context is sent through our proxy to OpenAI so the answer can be generated.

Do I need to add an API key?

No. Understand This Page is designed to work without API key setup or model configuration from you.

How do I manage or restore Pro?

Open Settings → Subscription in the extension. Use Restore purchase with your billing email, or use Manage subscription to open Stripe's billing portal. The extension can remember that billing email locally so you do not need to retype it.

Can it answer in my language?

Yes. Choose an answer language such as English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Finnish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and more — 27 languages in total.

What does the GitHub engine do?

Open it on a GitHub repository, README, code file, pull request, or issue. It explains the visible page in the right mode: what a repo is for, what a file does, what a PR changes and where review risk is, or what an issue's status and next step seem to be. It uses the visible GitHub page context, not hidden GitHub data.

Can it read PDFs?

Yes. Open a text-based HTTPS PDF and click Understand this page. The extension extracts readable text locally from documents up to 25 MB and 200 pages, then sends only a bounded best-effort context for analysis. Scanned, image-only, and password-protected PDFs are not supported yet.

How do page comparisons work?

Press + on each compatible page you want to collect. Nothing is fully analyzed at that point; an unclear page type may need a small classification request. With two or more pages in the session list, the main button changes to Compare. Products and jobs support up to eight pages, while SaaS and source comparisons support up to four.

Do you offer support?

Pro subscribers get email support at info@finnzon.com. On the free plan, the user guide and this FAQ are the support channels — bug reports are welcome from everyone.
